I thought Evan was referring to the data stored at ellisisland.org. They offer an option to save images to your own personal "Ellis Island file" on their website.
When I checked my own file, the single actual manifest image I'd saved was not available: "Image not available". Two other entries I'd saved as the passenger data were still accessible.
So maybe there's a time limit or they changed their website.
