Many people don't realize that they can save information regarding a
Yad Vashem PoT on their computer. Below, I give instructions for
various PC-based browsers. Maybe someone will post instructions for a
Mac. Please note that these instructions may not work in the future as
the Yad Vashem website evolves:

Internet Explorer 5 & 6:
==================
To save a PoT image:
- Open a PoT entry.
- >from either the Introduction or Detail screen, put your cursor over
the small PoT picture on the left.
- Right-click on the picture - a menu will pop up.
- In the middle, click on the line marked 'Save Picture As...'
- A 'Save' window will pop up.
- Choose the directory you want to save the picture in.
- Give the file an appropriate name.
- Click 'Save'.
The full image of the POT is now saved on your computer.

To save a PoT link:
Use the directions above and instead of clicking the line marked
'Save Picture As...'
- Go to the bottom of the menu and click on 'Properties'.
- A Properties window will pop up.
- In the middle of the Properties window is a line starting with
'Address (URL)'. This is the URL of the PoT.
- Put your cursor just to the left of the beginning of the URL,
starting with http:, so the cursor changes >from an arrow to a text
cursor.
- Click and highlight the URL (mine changes to blue and white).
- Put your cursor over the highlighted area and right-click - a menu
will pop up.
- Click on 'Copy'.
- Click the 'Cancel' button.
The URL is now ready to be pasted into a document.

Firefox:
========
To save a PoT image:
- Open a PoT entry.
- >from either the Introduction or Detail screen, put your cursor over
the small POT picture on the left.
- Right-click on the picture - a menu will pop up.
- In the middle, click on the line marked 'Save Image As...'
- A 'Save' window will pop up.
- Choose the directory you want to save the picture in.
- Give the file an appropriate name.
- Click 'Save'.
The full image of the POT is now saved on your computer.

To save a PoT link:
Use the directions above and instead of clicking the line marked
'Save Image As...'
- Click on 'Copy Image Location'.
The URL is now ready to be pasted into a document.

Opera 8.5:

To save a PoT image:
- Open a PoT entry.
- >from either the Introduction or Detail screen, put your cursor over
the small POT picture on the left.
- Right-click on the picture - a menu will pop up.
- Near the bottom, click on the line marked 'Save Image...'
- A 'Save' window will pop up.
- Choose the directory you want to save the picture in.
- Give the file an appropriate name.
- Click 'Save'.
The full image of the POT is now saved on your computer.

To save a PoT link:
Use the directions above and instead of clicking the line marked
'Save Image...'
- Go to the middle of the menu and click on 'Open Image'.
- The image will appear in a new tab.
- Right-click on the image.
- Click on 'Copy Image Address'
The URL is now ready to be pasted into a document.
