Sal & Ellen Barbieri <elsal@...>
I located & spoke to the mother of the grt-grt nieces & nephews of Ira
Lillick. They are interested in their family history & as a bonus now have a
5 generation family tree plus the documents. One is a beautiful parchment
written in Hungarian when Ira LILLICK was appointed Hungarian Consul in
1937. There is also an English translation. I want to publicly thank Dr.
Joseph Schwartzman for the correction. There was no King of Hungary in 1937,
we misread "Kingdom" of Hungary. Of note, Ira Lillick bequeathed $4 million
to Stanford University.
Also, thanks to Barbara Zimmer of Norfolk, VA for her extraordinary help,
finding his obit, census & BMD info on the family. We found that Ira's
father was b.abt 1825 Wertenburg, Germany & his mother was of Dutch descent
& traced their 3 children.
