Hebrew, Yiddish, Russian and Polish alphabets #general

Dear Jewish Genners,
So many times I read the following, I can't read the language and don't know
if it is written in Russian or Hebrew, etc.

Since all of you are avid researchers, spending hours, days and perhaps
years locating family members, I suggest you do a little more research
and learn to recognize the Russian and Hebrew and Polish alphabets since
there was so much correspondence in those languages. Both Yiddish and
Hebrew use the same alphabet so you can't tell the difference if you don't
know the language, Russian uses Cyrillic and Polish uses Latin letters.
Excellent examples of all three can be found doing a Google search.
