Sally Goodman posted a beautifully clear Hebrew inscription on a
family Kiddush becher and asked for a translation.

It would seem that her great-great-grandfather, the Rabbi and
Scholar, Head of the Rabbinical Court of Rekitza, was given this cup
for his 75th birthday by his "sons and daughters and their wives and
husbands" on 5 Shevat 5642, i.e. 25 January 1882. He was therefore
born on 5 Shevat 5567, i.e. 14 January 1807.
