The Jewish Genealogical Society will present "My Future is in America:
Yiddish Immigrant Autobiographies" on Sunday, September 10, 2006, at 1:00pm.
The guest speakers are Daniel Soyer, associate professor of history at
Fordham University, and Jocelyn Cohen, research associate at the YIVO
Institute for Jewish Research.

The program will be held at the Center for Jewish History, 15 West 16th
Street, Manhattan (between Fifth and Sixth Avenues). This program, which is
free and open to the public, is made possible through the support of the New
York Council for the Humanities - Speakers in the Humanities program.

Dr. Soyer and Dr. Cohen are the co-editors of "My Future is in America:
Autobiographies of Eastern European Jewish Immigrants" (New York University
Press, 2005).

The Jewish Genealogical Society hosts monthly programs held at the Center
for Jewish History. Members of the public are invited to attend these events
