As far as I could find, "Hudya" doesn't exist as such, but is very similar
to some of the Yiddish nicknames for "Hadassah" (Esther).
I have the same impression -- I have never heard of "Hudya",

I know one Hadassah whose nickname is "Handy", which sounds to me
like a version of Hinde.

One possibility that occurs to me is that "Hudya" may be a nickname
for Judith, which in ashkenzic Hebrew is pronounced Ye-HUD-is with
the accent on the middle syllable.

Alternatively, "Hudya" may simply lbe based on a misreading of an
old handwritten document and could be simply a corruption of "Hinde."
The original questioner might want to check whether any Hindes appear
in his ancestral family.
