Part II: Following on my posting on the possible origins of the LINDAUER family
from Deming, New Mexico, I should have mentioned that the JGFF is also
revealing and there are ten relevant researchers. You will find the very
intriguing entry >from someone called Koelemeijer looking for LINDAUER from
Vienna. I had already pointed out that many LINDAUER came >from Kolomyya,
Galicia and a few lived in Vienna!

Our energetic citizen, S. LINDAUER, has been remodeling and improving his
handsome residence lately. Mr. LINDAUER is preparing for the arrival of Mrs.
LINDAUER and children who will sail >from Brement [sic], Germany this week.

It sounds as if this family was probably >from Germany and had perhaps been
visiting relatives. The ships' manifests may reveal more.

But here is the proof in a family tree: Sigmund LINDAUER - was born on 23 Dec
1851 in Baden, Germany. He died on 17 Mar 1935 in Deming, NM, USA. ......
