The Jewish Genealogy Society of Long Island invites you to join us at our
Sunday, Oct 29 meeting.

Our topic is: "Following The Paper Trail, using Newspapers and community
journals to trace your ancestors."

Our guest speaker is Pamela Weisberger. Pamela is the program chair for the
JGS of Los Angeles and a research coordinator for Gesher Galicia. She has
written, produced and directed the documentaries, "Genealogy Anyone? and I
Remember Jewish Drohobycz." Pamela will explain how to find genealogical
information in areas of newspapers such as obituaries, birth, engagement and
marriage announcements, News of the Courts, and articles covering Eastern
European towns and business.

Time: 2:00 PM
Place: Mid-Island Y JCC 45 Manetto Hill Road Plainview, New York

Admission is free and all are welcome. Refreshments will be served.
Resource books will be available. Our "Mavens" will be available at 1:30 PM to
take your research questions.
