Kiev region of Ukraine, 110 km NW of Kiev. The same name was also used for a small town (22 Jews between the World Wars) that was near Chortkov, 77 km NNW of Chernivtsi. This is also in modern Ukraine and was in the Austrian Province of Galicia prior to the First World War. Neither of these locations would have been in Bessarabia.
