My great Aunt's tombstone was just translated and it says that my
gggrandfather Itzchak RUDERMAN was a Rabbi. My great Aunt Esther RUDERMAN
Kasden, Josephs immigration ships manifest >from July 12, 1912 says that she
was >from a town in Russia called Kreist. I can't find this town. Does
anyone know about KREIST? We are still trying to locate the exact village
where Itzchak & Ruchel JACOBS RUDERMAN and their children, Abram, Ester, Moshe
(my grandfather), Sophie and Harry lived.

If it is true that Itzchak RUDERMAN was a Rabbi, would there be different
records for me to search more accurately? I don't have dates for them,
but Morris was probably born @ 1880-1883. Perhaps his father was born @
1855-60 or thereabouts.

If you can be of assistance, please let me know. I have been able to find @
12 cousins and their families here in USA. But, this is what we are all
trying to find: Our Roots in Russia.
