Hi Genners

For those of you who have offered help and advice while I have searched, battled
German data protection laws, sweet talked beaurocrats, run round in circles, and
inched forward slowly - a big thankyou.

Finally after several years looking, and 12 months of concerted effort I have
recieved the marriage certificate of my GGGF Hermann CAHN to his second wife
Emma HEIMBACH.

If someone could tell me the details of what it says I would be most grateful,
particularly with regard to previous marriages.

I have picked up the headlines, which have confirmed that his father was
Jacob CAHN, and this has allowed me to constuct a detailed CAHN family
tree >from the lists I have compiled along the way. In doing so I have
opened up another couple of mysteries to solve, but for now I am happy
that I have traced this part of my family back to

Moses CAHN (butcher 17??-1818ish possibly dieing in Langel am Rhein) and
his wife Sybilla LEVI (possibly of Bruehl 1769-1825 possibly dieing in
Nieder Zuendorf).
