Henry Wellisch asked about World War II military records. They are available, but
under privacy restrictions. You can write the the National Personnel Records
Center, 9700 Page Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63132-5100

But the enlistment records are available online thru the National Archives....try another great source is the
fourth registration, also known as the "old mens draft" of men born between 1877
and 1897...these are available thru NARA and online at Ancestry (which is available
in many libraries)
