In years past, Montreal was a gateway for Jewish immigrants to North America.
Many Jewish immigrants made their way to Montreal, moving on to cities
in Western Canada and the United States at one point or another.

The Baron de Hirsch Cemetery, Montreal's largest Jewish cemetery complex,
has published a book to tell the story of its first 100 years.

The book is entitled,
"Sacred Ground on de la Savane, Montreal's Baron de Hirsch Cemetery",
written by Danny Kucharsky and illustrated with archival photographs.

This book can be ordered directly >from the Baron de Hirsch Cemetery, Inc.:
5015 de la Savane, Montreal, Canada H4P 1V1
