A creator of a family tree has a responsibility to the other members of the
family that have supplied the creator with personal information. The creator
can choose whether or not to publish information about themselves. Other
living people on the tree should also have that choice about publication.

For this reason when I supply family trees to people who are not fairly
closely related to me, I restrict the information that I supply about living

In one instance, I removed details of living individuals when sending a
family tree.

I would reverse the argument - what is the need to have the details of
living individuals in a published family tree?
