Re: Hebrew Translation - Viewmate VM 12904 #general

The stone reads: "Here is buried for this our heart is faint [Lamentations 5:17]
the youth and the old man lie on the ground in the streets [lamentations 2:21]
as an eternal remembrance to the saintly people of Zolatchov who were killed with
terrible cruelty by the evil Nazis may their names be blotted out and a few of them
were buried in a communal grave here in the cemetery may god avenge their blood
may their souls be bound up in the bond of life"

Note: there are a few mistakes in the inscription (lines 3 and 7), possibly because
the carver and whoever checked it weren't familiar with Hebrew.

ps. i have chosen to reply to the whole list because it is a communal memorial.
