Please allow me to introduce myself. I am a former British army officer
living in Guernsey. I am a writer and a military historian. In the past I
did a great deal of research into the fate of the Jewish population of
Guernsey during WW2 and in particular the three women who were deported from
Guernsey and finally murdered at Auschwitz. Their names were Terese Steiner,
Auguste Spitz and Marianne Grunfeld. I prepared their Pages of Testimony for
Vad Vashim and if I can help anyone perpetuate their memory I would be glad
to do so.
My primary field of interest at the moment is the military history of the
Middle East and I am here because I would like to discover more about Jewish
units in WW2 and in particular the Palestine Regiment.
