For what it's worth, the Social Security death index doesn't
seem to list any Irving SHAPIROs as having been born in 1919
or died in 1952.

And according to planecrashinfo.com, there were 3 civilian airline
crashes in the U.S. in 1952, and a whole bunch of military ones;
it might be possible to find corresponding local newspaper accounts
listing passengers' names, etc.

was married and had two children.
I would welcome suggestions as to how to find out details about this.
I have checked newspapers but so far have come up empty. He may have
been in the military, or may not.
