Re: Given name MYSL #general

Sid, since you give no backround information - dates, places
etc - it's impossible to make any real suggestions. But may I
propose that 'Mysl' might (or might not !) be a contraction of
the given name Mstislav (as in the cellist Mstislav
Rostropovich).

Coincidentally, my grandfather's hebrew name was always thought
to be Yoseph but on one ketuba, it is written as Aron.

When I found my father's ship line, there he was with his family,
and his name was Mysl.

Has any one ever heard of this name?

We always knew his Hebrew name was Aron, and he was called
Joseph.
