Yiddish word for soured milk #general

Florette Lynn

The yiddish word for soured milk is zoyer milch, but smetana is sour cream. The
later is the same word in Russian. When I was in Belarus last year our guide said
" do you want smetana (accent on the tana) with your borscht". There is was the same
word as in Yiddish, but accented a little differently.
