Request for Translation - (Yiddish) Postcard with (Russian) Address - 1914 #belarus
smoody61@...
Hi,
I have a postcard (two sides) that I'd like to have translated to English. The letter side of the postcard is in Yiddish. The address side of the card appears to be in Russian. The card must have been forwarded to the US in an envelope. The card was sent >from Russia to my paternal grandmother Rose EINBUND in Pittsburgh in 1914. It appears to be >from her father Benya in Parichi, in Belarus. [The handwriting seems to be the same as the writing on a previously translated Yiddish card that's now in the archive with its transliteration. That's VM15046.] The Yiddish (letter) side of the card is VM 15182 http://www.jewishgen.org/viewmate/viewmateview.asp?key=15182 The Russian (address) side of the card is VM 15183 http://www.jewishgen.org/viewmate/viewmateview.asp?key=15183 Thanks (again and again!) for all of the great help!! I'm slowly forming a kind of picture of my family's life in Parichi. James WEINER Los Angeles, California - USA MODERATOR NOTE: Please respond privately.
