HYAMS ,(died 1883 in New Orleans),, Any information would be appreciated.
The Jewish Historical Society of South Carolina (www.jhssc.org) has put many
South Carolina cemeteries on line, one of which is the KKBE Coming Street
Cemetery. There are many HYAMS listed on that index. The listing can be
found at http://jhssc.org/Charleston_KKBethElohim_ComingStreet_Cemetery.html.

Also, the book "This Happy Land The Jews of Colonial and Antebellum
Charleston" by James William Hagy has quite a few pages on HYAMS. The book
encompasses Jews who lived in Charleston >from the 17th century to 1861.
