Searching: GRIENISH Family, Lida? #belarus

Berna Heyman

I am looking for clues to find information on the GRIENISH family who
were connected to the BELITSKY family of Lida, Belarus. My mggm was a
Belitsky.

Fruma (Belitsky) and Hershel GRIENISH supposedly had immigrated to the
U.S. by 1907. In 1907, Fruma's brother Leib BELITSKY joined them in
Brooklyn, NY. Leib BELITSKY returned to Lida, Belarus in 1912. Fruma
and Hershel had 3 sons: Yankel, Kalman, Schlomo. I cannot find
information on any of them in the U.S. Hope someone might know of them
or have suggestions.

The name GRIENISH appears to be quite unusual for that area. I have
tried GREEN, GRINAUS, GRANICH, REINISH and and many Soundex
variations.

* Have searched several databases including: Ancestry.com, pilot
familysearch, stevemorse, italiangen.org, Hamburg passengers,
germanroots.com, rootsweb, using a few different Soundex conventions
* Used wild card searches
* Searched JewishGen digest and archives
* Checked JGFF
* Searched stevemorse.org several different ways
* Looked for similar names in Sefer Lida and searched the few possible names
* Searched in Ancestry.com combining a few of the sons (Yankel,
Kalman, Schloimo and English equivalent names)
* Searched Geni.com and Facebook

I would greatly appreciate your suggestions. Thank you.
