Re: Hebrew date #general
Rosanne Leeson <rdleeson@...>
Dear fellow Genners,
I am overwhelmed by the number of you who so kindly responded to my request
for help in interpreting a Hebrew date on a small silver memento. The
engraving had become so faint that it was difficult to read, and impossible
However, the unanimous response was that it had to be the 4th day of the
month of Shevat , and the entire translated to Jan 7, 1927. This even
provided me with the exact day of the event, which we did not have before.
So many of you have answered that there is no way that I could answer to each
separately, but please, everyone, do accept my most sincere gratitude for
your help! I will be making a donation to JewishGen in appreciation!
