Do you have a lot of genealogical material to share and want to put it
on the web, but don't know how? Have you waited for someone to create
a ShtetLinks site for your town, but no one has? Do it yourself!

If you have basic computer skills, that's all you need to start making
web pages. We will use a free, downloadable, simple-to-use web page
editor to create our pages so you don't have to buy expensive
software. This editor runs on both PCs (all versions of Windows) and
Macs (OS X 10.2 or later), so practically everyone will be able to use
it.

Requirements:

1) You must have basic computer skills such as knowing how to click on
hyperlinks and how to "copy and paste" text using a computer mouse,
etc.

2) You must be comfortable with using a web browser like Internet
Explorer or Safari, and with using a word processing program like
Microsoft Word or WordPerfect. You don't have to be an expert, just
someone who has used those programs or programs like them.

3) And you'll need about 4-5 hours each week to read the lessons and
practice making web pages
