Re: Viewmate Archives #general

David beat me to writing a similar note. I was going to say to those of
you who've had items in the ViewMate files, even for several years, don't
give up hope! David kindly surprised me with several translations this week,
and I heard >from another kind JGenner on another VM file last week. It's
always a thrill to have a reply, even if well after the posting!

Thank you to all you special folks who are gifted with the language skills
I do not possess.

Best Regards,

There are over 13,000 records in the Viewmate archives. In the early days
of Viewmate there were fewer volunteers than there are today, willing and
able to help with translations and identifications. As a result many
documents and photos found their way into the archives unanswered. I took
a few hours during the past week working my way through several pages of the
archives, sending out a number of responses to grateful submitters. If you
have the know-how and the inclination give the archives a look-see.
