New York: CAJAC clearing Baron De Hirsch and Bayside #general

Ira Leviton

Dear Cousins,

This reply to the post about the Committee to Assist Jewish At-Risk Cemeteries
may not seem to be related to genealogy, but I feel that it is essential to
point out that some people have a negative view of C.A.J.A.C.

Litigation has been ongoing for years about the deplorable conditions at
Bayside Cemetery in Queens, New York. Many of the publicly available
court filings and claims about C.A.J.A.C., are at
http://site.baysidecemeterylitigation.com/About_the_Litigation.html.

I have no connection to any of the organizations or individuals involved
in the court cases, or their web sites. My only interest is that my
landsmanshaft has plots in both Bayside Cemetery, where C.A.J.A.C.
started their work, and in Baron Hirsch Cemetery on Staten Island.

But it seems that further discussion of this topic should be done privately.

Regards,

Ira
