The Jewish Genealogy Society of Long Island invites you to join us at our
Sunday, April 22, meeting.

Topic: "Holocaust Presentation"

Guest Speaker: Gary Mokotoff will lecture about strategies for finding
records of Holocaust victims and survivors. He will particularly focus on the
major resources for Holocaust research.

Gary Mokotoff helped establish the National Registry of Jewish Holocaust
Survivors for the American Gathering of Jewish Survivors. He has worked
with Yad Vashem to find ways of documenting the two million Shoah victims not
yet identified in the Shoah Victims Names Database. He led the first group
to use the facilities of the International Tracing Service at Bad Arolsen.
He is co-owner of AVOTAYNU, a company that publishes books and journals
of interest to people researching their Jewish family history. Gary has been
honored by the IAJGS, Association of Professional Genealogists and the
Federation of Genealogical Studies.
