Hit immigration brick wall #general

Maureen Perlstein

When & where did this couple immigrate to the US? What were their hometowns?

I have hit the brick wall for my PGGF, Harris FOGEL b. 1864 Warsaw d. 1941
Chicago, Ill. He was a tailor. His wife was Rebecca Rose. Their first 6
children were born in Baltimore: William, Rosie, Samuel, Bessie, Annie &
Sarah. The last 2, David & Frieda were born in Chicago. I have found the
family in the US census of 1900, 1910, 1920 & 1930.

Harris FOGEL consistently reported his immigration year & marriage year as
1885. His death certificate >from Cook County Genealogy lists his father as
Morris FOGEL >from Russia, mother unknown.

Rebecca's death certificate lists her b. 1866 in Badronich, Poland (not in
the JG town finder) d. 1932 Chicago, parents as Emanuel WOEY & Cipie SMITH.
The informant for both death certificates was daughter Annie ROSEN.

As a substitute for the 1890 census, there is a listing for a Harris FOGLE,
a tailor in Baltimore, Md. at 200 N Exeter.

I have searched unsuccessfully for immigration records.

The couple's headstones in OBA Waldheim, Forrest Park, Ill. offer no
further information. I would appreciate any assistance. Please answer
privately.

Thanks,
Maureen Perlstein of Casselberry, Florida
