Help/advice needed with accessing Australian records #general

Dear Genners Down Under

Can anyone help me to access Australian arrival and departure records >from the
1920s?

My grandmother's cousin Davis BRADMAN, an accountant/book keeper born 1900,
travelled >from London to Sydney on 14 October 1926 on P&O ship SS Beltana
(record on Ancestry.com) and he returned >from Brisbane to London (Tilbury)
as Mr D BRADMAN arriving on 7 November 1929 on SS Osterley of the Orient
Steam Navigation company (record on Ancestry.com).

I would like to know where Davis/David BRADMAN lived/stayed in Australia as
I believe he may have been visiting relatives. I wonder if the corresponding
arrival and departure records for these voyages would record his destination
address on arrival, and his last known address on departure and/or any
other clues as to his nearest relative or friend in Australia?

Assuming these records are not available online, could anyone advise
me where the original documents would be located and how best to access them?
Also whether there are any other ways of tracing him (such as a Census)
while he was living in Australia.

Many thanks
