A family memoir states that family members moved >from Orla, Poland and settled in "Aruytok near Bialystok." Any of you map mavens have any ideas to what dorf or shtetl this might be?
I believe that "Aruytok" could be a corruption of Horodok (Grodek in Polish), which my grandfather and his family, who were >from there, pronounced as "Aradok". This town is located at 53°06' N, 23°40'E, about 35 km (22 miles) east of Bialystok.
