Cairo-born Dr Ellis Douek will give a talk on his experiences of life
and exile >from Egypt. After Egyptian independence and subsequent
hostility to Jews, Ellis, his sister Claudia Roden and their brother
came to Europe. He qualified as an ENT surgeon at Guy's Hospital,
London. He is the author of "A Middle Eastern Affair" and a number of
articles.
