From Lithuania to Vermont ~ a Rare Example of Jewish Folk Art #general

Circa 1910, Ben Zion Black, a recently arrived Jewish Lithuanian immigrant
sign painter immigrant, was hired by Congregation Chai Adam in Burlington,
Vermont, to paint a two story synagogue mural. The story behind this mural
and the current drive to salvage and preserve this rare example of Jewish
religious folk art can be seen on pages A13 & A19 in the Jan 31, 2014 print
