Hello

For the first time since I started searching for my grandfather's family,
some 15 years ago, I have found a Public Tree on Ancestry which is held by a
Howard MELTZER and shows my grandfather's brother and sister-in-law, and also
their son and his wife. This is the first time I have found anyone with my
family on their tree.

My grandfather was born Joseph [Solomon] STEINCHAUER in Warsaw and settled in
the UK where he changed his surname to STONE. He had a brother David, whose
wife was named Zelda and they had a son Jakob and a daughter Chawa, and all
were born in Warsaw, Poland. David and his family chose to emigratel to the
USA where they settled and lived.

Jakob changed his name to Jack STEIN and it appears that David and Zelda also
became STEIN. Chawa, I believe, changed her first name to Anna and all of the
family lived in New York originally, and David [1889-1923] and Zelda [died
1968] remained there. Jack married a Sadie ERLICHMAN and they had a daughter
named Arline. Jack [1889-1923] died in Dade, Florida, and Sadie in 2007.

I attempted to contact Howard Meltzer through Ancestry. He last signed in to
the website a year ago, but has not responded to my email of enquiry and I
have no idea where he lives, but guess it is probably the United States. If
anyone knows him, or any of my family that I have mentioned here, would they
be kind enough to contact me direct, please?

After years of hitting brick walls I appear to at last have a chance of
finding someone who might know more about my family. Thank you.
