1. social security death index (try all surnames, especially if you know her date
of birth)
2. try JOWBR, our JewishGen burial registry with 2 million names
3. try findagrave, billiongraves and jewishdata web sites
4. look for an obit in the NY Times historical and other NY papers
5. try the large Jewish Cemeteries in NY
