Re: Suggestion for message formats/content #general

A posting said: "Would it be possible to request that all list members not
only capitalize the surnames in their e-mail messages, but also include a list
of all the surnames with places of origin/residence in their signatures?"

I made a list of all my surnames for a IAJGS conference once. It was 2 columns
on a piece of paper, both sides. This was a long time ago, and I have a lot
more surnames now, so how would I follow your suggestion. We are only allowed 6
lines for the names; they wouldn't fit.

If you want the list, I can send it to you.

MODERATOR NOTE: As Sally notes, there is a six line maximum for names/towns one
is researching. We recommend that researchers who have long lists rotate
names/towns through their lists with each new post. That way all may be posted
within the JewishGen Discussion Group guidelines.
