Follow-up: Holocaust survivor looking for Max Weisberg #general

Victoria Barkoff

Michael and Max, who met at an orphanage following WWII, have been
reunited after nearly 70 years. It turns out that the phone number I
had originally found on Google-France, and which several others
confirmed, led to the right person. They spoke on the phone today, and
Max said it was the happiest day of his life.

Apparently, the last time they had seen each other was when Max boarded
the ill-fated S. S. Exodus. As a parting gift, Michael gave Max his
camera, which Max had to trade for water when things got tough.

Thanks again to all the people (particularly on the French SIG list)
who offered helpful suggestions, including phone numbers, a search for
missing parents (JewishGen), a Facebook page, and various contacts in
Lyon.
