c.o. stands for "in care of". Otto BLOCH is on Ancestry.com images 63 / 64. I found both c/o and c.o. meaning "in care of" for other passengers on Ancestry.com images 55 / 56 .

I have a passenger manifest for cousins of mine who sailed from Germany to New York in October 1938.... On Paula's and Hans' lines, in the same column where Sigmund's name and address appear on Otto's line, is the abbreviation c.o. and a ditto mark. . Can anyone tell me what "c.o." stands for?
