I have not been successful in finding records of names of Jews from
Panevezys Lithuania who were deported to Siberia following the German Soviet
Pact of 1939. I have recently located and made contact with a descendant of
such a relative who survived the deportation. I am told her family was able
to find her after WW II via assistance >from the Red Cross, and brought her
to Israel about 1955 and later to Rhodesia where they were living. Are
there searchable records that may reflect any of these events? Thank you!
