New and Updated Databases on IGRA Website #general

Israel Genealogy Research Association (IGRA) has just released new and
updated databases on its website.

New Databases

1) Medical Practitioners

This database, published by the Department of Health, includes a list
of medical practitioners-doctors, pharmacists, dentists and midwives,
from 1936, who were licensed during the British Mandate in Palestine.
In addition to names, the database includes the practitioners'
profession, license number and address. The database not only lists
practitioners living in Palestine (both Jews and Arabs), but also
includes British practitioners serving in Palestine, Transjordan,
Lebanon, Syria and other countries in the Middle East.

2) Immigration to Palestine

This database lists of over 2,000 immigrants to Palestine from
1942-1943 compiled >from various documents.

3) Graduates >from the Kadoorie Agricultural School

This databases lists over 5,000 graduates >from the Kadoorie
Agricultural School located in the Galilee.

4) Candidates for the Committee of the Histadrut Teachers

This database lists over 660 candidates for the 19th Committee of
Histadrut Teachers' election (Organization of Trade Unions).

5) Tiberias Educators

This database lists almost 700 educators in Tiberias >from 1969 to 1996
(not inclusive).

6) Rabbis in the Settlements

This databases lists newly appointed rabbis in the settlements in 2014.

Updated Databases

1) Voters' List for the Knesset 1937

Additional voters have been added to this existing database of Voter'
List for the Knesset (Parliament) in 1937.

2) Histadrut Members in WWII British Forces

This updated database now includes over 15,000 members of the
Histadrut (Organization of Trade Unions) who served in the British
Forces in World War II >from 1939-1945.

3) ATS Volunteers >from 1941-1944

Almost 385 names have been added to this database of volunteers in the
Auxiliary Territorial Service (ATS), the women's branch of the British
Army during World War II.
