Many years ago my mother told me that her grandfather's brother, David
ABRAMOWITZ may have changed his family name >from ABRAMOWITZ to BRAM.
David moved as a youth to Boston >from New Haven, Ct. around the turn of
the previous century or at the end of the 19th.

He came with his widowed mother >from Russia, (my estimate) between
1875-1885. He was the eldest of 4 children. He found a job in a dept.
store and he seems to have risen to management level. He may have been
close to his sister Sarah who lived in NYC. She and David did not stay
religious while their two younger brothers, Mayer and Kalman did.
