JGS Sacramento is sad to announce the passing of Lester Smith, a past JGSS
president and longtime member, who died on Wednesday, July 5. Lester Smith
(Aaron Labe ben David) was also a past member of the Public Records Access
Monitoring Committee (PRAMC) of the International Association of Jewish
Genealogical Societies (IAJGS). Lester was also a past member of the Jewish
Community Relations Council (JCRC) and chaired several of the annual Yom
HaShoah programs in the Sacramento area. He was a member of the Mosaic Law
Congregation.

Graveyard services will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, July 10 at the Home of
Peace Cemetery, 6200 Stockton Blvd., Sacramento. Following the services, a
reception will be held at Lombard and Company, 1550 Fulton Avenue, Sacramento.

We extend our deepest sympathy to Lester's daughter, Francine Logan, and
family. May Lester's memory be a blessing.
