Check the Jewishgen Discussion Group - Group Message Archives. Search:
Ferramonti for 10 messages 1997-2010. Ferramonti is near town of Tarsia in
Calabria. I posted names & descriptions of useful books, Jewish names >from
cemetery wall & few graves. Dr. Mario Rende of Perugia Italy has done
extensive work, got d. certs, a few b. & m. certs >from town hall. He also
cleaned graves & got records & photos >from cemetery in nearby Cosenza. I
highly recommend his book as well as ones by Capogreco, Bierman (lots
names, 1984 reunion in Israel) & Bettina (church in Campagna housed Jews,
mentioned few who visited relatives in Ferramonti). Rende & Capogreco books
are in Italian but easy to read with help of dictionary. Some photos in all

Jewishgen also has under their Holocaust Database: Rhodes to Ferramonti. Don't
think you can search it without exact spelling of name. Many names are in
Bierman book & Anna Pizzuti website. Best to look at full list on Anna P's
site as names are spelled differently ie. Heinrich could be Henry or Enrico.
I found person buried in Tarsia, not listed as being there but informant on
d. cert was dau, she & mother are on Anna P's list.
Have to work back & forth between all books & records to get full picture.
As usual, many misspelled first & last names as person of one nationality
writing name of a different nationality.

Ferramonti has museum & original buildings still stand. Goggle
"fondazioneferramonti" for several citations about museum, programs etc. Also Goggle "ferramonti" to links to Yad Yashem
& much more.

Rabbi Barbara Aiello does work on Jews of Nicastro & History of Calabrian
Jews, book & CD.
