For the Rhine-Palatinate region in Germany Kisel or Kissel or Kusel was used
short for Yekutiel, as noted in the Alzey Memor Book (kept n Israel National
Library):

Yekutiel called Kossil or Kossel (died 1778), his son Elieser, called Lasi,
(1750-1829) adopted the family name Kusel in 1808.
