Speakers selected for June 24 Jewish Genealogical Society of Illinois "Kvell and Tell" program #general


The Jewish Genealogical Society of Illinois will hold a "Kvell and Tell"
session on Sunday, June 24, 2018, as part of the group's annual meeting.
Selected members will take turns sharing family history discoveries and
research tips starting at 2 p.m. at Temple Beth-El, 3610 Dundee Road,
Northbrook, Ill.

Registration, networking, the JGSI help desk and research library will
open at 12:30 p.m.

The June 24 meeting will also feature the JGSI president's annual report
and the introduction of JGSI officers and other board members.

"Kvell and Tell" presentations will include the following:

--Gail Duberchin (writer name Gayle Ann Weinstein): "How To Write An
Oral History Memoir" and the reading by the Debbie Kroopkin, Rebecca
Hurwitz, and Gayle Ann Weinstein of a short family history play, "Meet
Me On The Corner."
--Dale Amdur: "More than Names on a Piece of Paper or Pictures on a
Wall," about the two family history books she wrote.
--Marcia Hirsch: "Mannish Tana," about the family oriented Monopoly-like
game she created for her family Passover Seders.
--Bobby Jacobs: "Learn How to Do and Not Do Research"
--Marty Fischer: "My Family History Website," a short tour through
martinfischer.webs.com .
