Grodno records for SHALMUK and WOLF #general

Michael Palmer

Greetings.
My father's family came to the United States >from the region of Grodno -
currently in the northwest corner of Belarus, bordering Poland and Lithuania.

I would like to have records - if there are any - searched for my WOLF and
SHALMUK families.

If anyone knows of a way or person who could do a search please let me know at
m.palmer@charter.net

Thank you
Michael Palmer

MODERATOR NOTE: If you have not done so already, put SHALMUK into the "Search
for Surname" box on the JewishGen homepage. Specify Belarus or Poland. You will
come up with records on JewishGen and their partner organizations (JRI-Poland)
and Litvak SIG. Also, check with JewishGen's Belarus Special Interest Group (SIG)
to see what projects they may have for Grodno.

Enter the surnames you are researching in the JewishGen Family Finder.
https://www.jewishgen.org/jgff/ There are already a few researchers working on
WOLF in Grodno. You should check not only the town but also the district and
gubernia.

You may also wish to check the JewishGen InfoFile, "Finding a Professional
Genealogist," to see some researchers who have been recommended by others.
