On behalf of the IAJGS Board and our current membership, it is with great
pleasure that we welcome the Sociedade Genealogica Judaica de Sao Paulo
(Jewish Genealogy Society of Sao Paulo) as the newest member of our growing
family of IAJGS organizations. For more information about the Brazilian
group, please see their Facebook page at www.jgssp.org or contact Richard
Strimber at rstrimber@...

The group's next meeting will be a "hands-on workshop" on February 21st
between 7:00 PM and 10:00 PM at the Jewish Brazilian Historical Archive
(AHJB), part of the future Jewish Museum in Sao Paulo. Please see
https://www.facebook.com/events/340698570108521/ for more information on the
workshop and to make reservations. (Due to the nature of this workshop,
attendance will be held to 25 people.) The following meeting, scheduled for
the 3rd week in May, will feature a prominent speaker on the topic of DNA.

The International Association of Jewish Genealogical Societies (IAJGS) was
formed in 1988 as a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. IAJGS is an umbrella
group of organizations which provides a common voice for issues of
significance to its members, to advocate for and educate about our
genealogical avocation, and to coordinate items such as the annual
International Conference on Jewish Genealogy. For more information on
IAJGS, please see our website at http://www.iajgs.org/blog/ or contact me at
