I am trying to find out more about the ship Lake Megantic of the Beaver Line
that sailed >from Liverpool to Canada in March of 1901. It stopped both in
Halifax, Nova Scotia and St John, New Brunswick. I would appreciate if
someone could help me answer the following questions.
1. Would the ship have gone first to St John and then Halifax, or the other
way around? This sailing is recorded as arriving in both on the same day.
2. Where would a person coming to the United States have gone through immigration?
3. Where would the voyage have terminated, i.e. would it have sailed beyond
those two ports, or returned immediately to England?
3. Would there be a record of the departure >from Liverpool?
