Freya/Freda KASSEMOFF nee ?? #general

Angie Elfassi

Hi,

My father's paternal grandmother Freya/Freda b. 1860, married surname KASSEMOFF,
came >from Rezekne in Latvia c. 1905. Her first child was born in 1891. The
family moved to Leeds, UK c. 1904.

On Latvian Archive documents I have, it says that the family lived previously
in Antolepti, Novo Alexandrov (now Zarasi), Lithuania.

A relative, who has unfortunately since died, told me that she thinks Freya's
maiden surname was SOKOLOV.

from Freya's tombstone d. 24 March 1946 and is buried in Leeds, UK, it says her
father was Michael, another piece added to the puzzle. My late father's name
was Michael.

If anyone has a SOKOLOV or SOKOL or any other combination with SOKOL in it,
with Michael on the tree, b. c. 1840 (if Freya was born 1860), please contact me.

Alternatively, if anyone has a father Michael and daughter Freya on their tree,
with those approximate above dates, also please contact me.

I have looked through quite a few records on JewishGen but havent found a
SOKOLOV yet with a Michael and Freya. On the ALD part 2, where I have put
Michael and Freya in the search parameters, I have over 8000 records to trawl
through!

Thanks in advance.

Regards
