The Jewish Genealogical Society of the Conejo Valley and Ventura County's
program is Sunday, August 25 1:30-3:30 PM at Temple Adat Elohim 2420 E
Hillcrest Drive in Thousand Oaks.

Program: Highlights >from IAJGS 39th International Conference on Jewish
Genealogy; And Panel of Experts

Panel of Experts: The Panel of Experts starts at 1:10 PM. Please arrive
starting at (not earlier than) 1:00 PM with your questions for the panel.
Experts are Hal Bookbinder and Marion Werle.

Hal Bookbinder: has been researching eight family lines for over 27 years,
identifying 4,000 relatives and tracing two of these lines into the
mid-1700s. A founding member of JGSCV, and former president of JGSLA and
IAJGS. In 2010, Hal received the IAJGS Lifetime Achievement Award for his
various contributions to Jewish Genealogy

Marion Werle: began family history research 24 years ago, researching family
from Lithuania, Latvia and Belarus, who settled in the US, Canada, UK and
Israel. Marion has been a member of JGSCV for over 10 years and has been on
the boards of JGSCV and JGSLA, and is a past president of the Latvia SIG.
Marion completed the Boston University Genealogical Research Certificate.

Highlights >from the IAJGS 39th International Conference on Jewish Genealogy:
JGSCV members who attended the IAJGS Conference tell about their favorite
conference lecture, workshop, SIG meeting. JGSCV had 14 members attend
the conference and at least half will share their favorite program, meeting
cousins, visiting Cleveland and more!

Traveling Library

The traveling library with our A and D books. A list of which books are
included are listed on our website http://www.jgscv.org/ under library and
traveling. The library is available starting at 1:00 PM.
